DeAlva Frazier
Services Held In
Methodist Church
Funeral services were held
Sunday, July 16, at 3:00 p. m. in
the First United Methodist Chur-
ch of Dublin for Miss DeAlva
Frazier, Miss Fruziet died July
14 in the Stephenville Hospital
at the age of 87. Officiating pas-
tor was Rev. Denzil G. Wright
assisted by Rev. J. E. Morton.
Special music was presented by
Mrs. Fannie Chambers singing
the “Lord’s Prayer" along with
the Church Choir and organist.
Hope Stephen Burial was in the
New Dublin Cemetery under the
direction of Harrell Funeral
Home.
Miss Frazier was bom October
2,18-S3 in the Harbin Community,
Frath County, to A. L. Frazier
and Alva Morton Frazier. She
was a retired nurse at the time
of her death. She served 30 years
nursing for the Veterans’ Admin-
istration, serving one year in the
Idian Sendee. Miss Frazier had
been in the Eastern Star, Rebec-
ca for SO years. She was a mem-
ber of the American Legion Aux-
iliary; a graduate of Scott and
White Nursing Home and a mem-
ber of the Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives irdude six
sisters, Mrs. Pernl Phipps of Los
Crucis, New Mexico; Mrs. Cres-
sie Henry of Stephenville; Mrs.
Hattie Mae Flory of Alexander;
Mrs. Frances Spears, Miss Le-
nora and Miss Abbie Frazier all
of Dublin: two brothers, Fred of
Fort Worth and R. E. of Ocean
Side. California. Many friends
and relatives mourn her death.

the American Legion, Marvin
Farris, Albert Traweek, Delbert
Shafer, Fred Patton, B, D.

will receive the Master of Divini-
ty degree during summer com-
mencement exercises to be held
in Truett Auditorium as South-
western Baptist Theological Semi-
nary, July 21, 10 a. m.
Seminary President Robert E.
Naylor will present degrees and
diplomas to 100 candidates *rom
the seminary's three schools:
theology, religious education, and
church music.
James M. Moudy, chancellor of
Texas Christian University (fC-
U), Fort Worth, will be the com-
mencement speaker. A native of
Harlingen, Moudy holds a bache-
lor of arts degree from TCU a
bachelor of divinity degree from
Brite Divinity School, and a doc-
tor of philiphy degree from Duke
University. In addition, in recent
years he has been honored with
three honorary doctorate degrees.
