Old Dublin Memorial Park Association to meet
The Old Dublin Memorial Park Association will haw their
annual meeting at 6 pm on Thursday, March 14 at Dublin
City Hall. All interested persons are urged to attend. For more

Knights continue fish fry
The Stephenville Knights of Columbus continue their
annual Lenten Fish Fry this Friday at Newman Hall.
The weekly event will run from 5-7 p.m. Fridays through

French fries, tea, and dessert. Prices this year are $8 for
seniors and children under 12 and $10 for everyone else.

Part of the proceeds from this week’s event goes to the

Community Baptist prepared for yard sale
Community Baptist Church will have a yard sale this
Saturday March 16 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the church, 515
W. Mesquite in Dublin. All proceeds will go to children’s
ministry and Vacation Bible School.
Rodeo Museum hosting Garage Sale
The Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum is hosting a garage
sale on Saturday, March 16 to coincide with the St.

Spring Fundraiser Luau at 6 pm on May 3 at the Stephenville
Qt Park Pavilion
Anyone who purchases a $50 pledge in support of the
ministry will get dinner for two at tbe island-style luau which
will also feature auction items, live entertainment and door
prizes. The pledge will also enter the donor into a drawing for

MS Trail Ride saddled for May 4
The 17th annual MS Trail Ride is set for Hunnewell Ranch in
Stephenville on Saturday May 4th.
Ibis is the only MS sanctioned horseback trail ride fundraiser
in the nation. The pledges riders raise will go toward research
for a cure, as well as vital programs for people with MS, and
their families in our own community. Hunnewell Ranch is a
beautiM 1,200 acre ranch owned by Tarleton and is not
normally open to the public. This annual event takes trails that
go into the back of the ranch that is rarely seea
There is a morning ride and an afternoon ride. Lunch is
provided, and prizes awarded. There is also a silent auction all
day during this event.

Dublin playdays start March 23
The Dublin Riding Club will kick off their 2013 playday
season on March 23 at 10 am at the Dublin rodeo arena
Playday events include: Leadline, Dummy Roping, Clover
Barrels, Straight Barrels, Fun Event, Flags, Goats (slap/tie) and
Age groups are divided between: girls 6 and under, boys six
and under, mixed 11-14, mixed 15-25 and mixed 26 and up.
Annual membership dues for the club are $30 per family or
$25 per individual while scoring events are $5 each. Leadline
entriy fees are $20 per child; exhibitions are $5 each; fun
events (which do not count towards the points system); and
cake walk/ride entry fees are $ 1 each.
Participants must ride in at least three playdays in three
events as a member to be eligible for year end awards. Future
events are set for April 20, May 18, June 15, July 20 and Aug.

Alpha Gamma Rho preparing Crawfish Boil
The local chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho will hold their 3rd
Annual Crawfish Boil from 5 pm-11 pm on April 9 at City
Hall at City Limits in Stephenrille.
Live Texas music will be performed by Mike Stanley, Chance
Schoenthal, Clint Levi, Josh Weathers, Koe Wetzel, Brady
Pendleton, Joey Green and Clayton Landua.
All-You-Can-Eat tickets can be purchased for $15 before
April 5 or plates will be for sale at the event for $10 each.
General admission for those not eating is $5.

Comanche FFA hosting daddy-daughter dance
The Comanche FFA Booster Club will be holding their
annual Daddy-Daughter Dance, on Saturday, March 23 from
6-9 pm at the Middle School Cafeteria.
This is a time when girls of all ages can put on their fancy
dresses and dancing shoes and bring their dad, grandfather,
uncle, or big brother out for a time of fun.
There will be refreshments, good music, hourly give-aways
and lots of fun! Tickets will be sold at the door and are $20
per couple, and $10 for each additional child The proceeds
of this event will be used for various activities sponsored by
the Comanche FFA Booster Club.
Tractor Club to host show/pull, gun raffle
The Erath County Antique Tractor Club will be holding an
antique tractor show/pull and gun raffle on April 12 and 13
at the Stephenville City Park. Admission is free for the tractor
show/pull and there will be a $20 hook fee for all competitors
in the pull which will be judged by NATPA rules.
The tractor pull will be at 10 am. on April 13 followed by
the parade of tractors at 1 pm and a kiddie pedal tractor pull
at 1:30 pm Cockshutt Farm Equipment will be exhibiting in
the Ring of Honor.
The club will be raffling off the winner's choice of caliber
(204-338 Winchester Mag.) Ruger M77 Hawkeye rifle (either
all-weather or standard). Tickets are $2 each or three for $5.

Animal Shelter to host St Pat’s adoption event
An adoption event will be held by the T-ball fields at the
Dublin City Park on Saturday, March 16 from noon-5 pm to
coincide with St. Patrick’s Day festivaL Animals from the
Dublin Animal Shelter will be available for a $10 adoption fee.
Volunteers will also be accepting donatioas for the upkeep of
the shelter for those who can’t adopt.

DAMAGE- A storm with severe winds hit Hamilton
Saturday night, blowing most of the roof off of David’s
Supermarket. Although there were customers and staff
inside at the time, no injuries were reported. It is hoped
that the store can be repaired and open again within five
