Lloyd Frederick, minister of the
Granbury Church of Christ for 11
years, tiled this week as a can-
didate for State Representative
of District 33, comprised of
Eratli, Somervell, Hood and
Johnson Counties. He has also
for the past 7 yeans been engag-
ed in extensive livestock raising.
He is a native of Itasca, Texas
ang graduated from High School
ihere. Following World War II
he attended Abilene Christian
College. He has lived for 20
years in the District with the re-
maining time , being spent in
Johnson County He is well ac-
quainted and has many friends
through out the 4 county area. >
Mr. Frederick has been en-
gaged in rrm'.v civic and com-
munity .activities where ever he
has lived in addition to his regu-
lar duties as a minister. He is
currently serving on the Hood
County Hospital Governing Board,
lias for several years been Yice-
Chairman of the Hood County
Library Board, is President of
Tliorp Spring Christian Center
Association and a member of the
Board of Development of Lubbock
Christian College.

High School and Ronnie is mar-
ried and lives in Granbury. The
candidate, 49, is the youngest in
a field of five He will be retiring
from his duties as minister of the
Granbury church ov the end of
this /ear.

feeling of need for improvement
in our State government. Some-
how we must restore the honesty,
dignity and integrity that has
been lost. I trust that I will be
able to accomplish something in
-this area. I have obligations to
no one and will work for the
good of every citizen of the Dis-
trict. I appreciate the encourage-
ment of friends to enter the race
who know of my life’s work and

Mrs. Caraway Sunday afternoon.
