MARK W. LONEY, a Dept.
062-5 areosystems engineer, su-
pervises the operation of the In-
strumentation Laboratory at the
RATSCAT site at Holloman AFB,
N. M. Loney's principal hobby,
which is shared by his wife, Lu-
cile, is fishing. Prior to WW II,
he spent four years in Alaska,
where he found time to do some
big-game hunting and fishing.
Loney was an instructor in the
Navy during WW II and helped
establish radar training schools
for that service. He came to
Holloman 18 years ago with the
Research Foundation of Oklaho-
ma State University and partici-
pated in the test-firing of the
first Aerobee missiles. He joined
GD in 1962.
BETTY OKRASINSKI, Dept.
105-5 data analyst, has worked at
Fort Worth division two years.
Betty was previously employed in
the accounting department at
Bell Telephone Co. for 6,/2 years.
Husband John is a Dept. 89 pro-
curement follow-up man. They
have one son, Rick, age two.
Betty and John both enjoy hock-
ey games and deep-sea fishing;
however, music is Betty's "first
love." She and her twin brother
Bob were in the first double sex-
tet at Castleberry High School
and were in the first graduating
class from the school. Betty is a
former Coming Home Queen
from Castleberry. Her father is
Ross Carney, Dept. 8, a long-
time division employe.
P. V. CALDER, Dept. 29-3
quality control liaison man, has
been an FOD (Foreign Object
Damage) monitor on the flight
line for nearly two years. Calder
has been associated with some
phase of the inspection depart-
ment nearly all of his 25 years at
FW division and has worked on
the B-24, B-32, B-36, B-58, F-l I I
and mod program of the C-54.
Calder is married and has two
sons: Vernon, a student at UTA
majoring in electrial engineering;
and Joe, a senior at Kennedale
High School. Calder is beginning
his 13th year as a Kennedale
school board member. He is also
a Sunday School superintendent.
When time permits, Calder en-
joys boating with his sons.
IF YOU NEED to locate Estelle
Herburger during non-working
hours, more than likely she can
be found at a local dancing stu-
dio. Estelle, a Dept. 18 estimat-
ing clerk, recently discovered
that she "loves" dancing. She
placed second in the Dance
Olympics contest in Dallas last
month in the Bronz B waltz cate-
gory. Estelle has been dancing
for years, but has been "study-
ing" dancing only since June. She
joined Fort Worth division 12
years ago in the outside produc-
tion department. She later work-
ed in material cost estimating
before transferring to estimating
department. Estelle's only son,
Kenneth, is a pre-med student at
TWC.
VERNON JOHNSON, 3-5
medical supply clerk, has been
seen by many FW division em-
ployes while performing his du-
ties throughout the facility. John-
son is in charge of ordering all
supplies for the plant hospital,
maintaining the medical labora-
tory and drug room, and laundry
count and medical library. He is
a native of Bonham, Texas, and
has worked at the division 26
years. His wife, Olga, is em-
ployed as a clerk at a local fu-
neral home. Olga is also rated by
plant hospital personnel as an "ex-
cellent" cook. They have one son
and three grandchildren. Both
Johnson and his wife sing in their
church choir. They also like to do
yard work and fish.
