Two coaches were set out for the
benefit of the excursionists, who were
allowed to find seats in their car at
an early hour, and no one else was al •
lowed in these coaches. This was
done at the special request of the lo-
cal Bureau.
There were 117 tickets sold for the
excursion, find although the rate was
very low the special cars meant a
profit for the Cotton Belt.

Speaks Tuesday
Night At Church
The program of the Northeast Tex-
as Medi’cl Society was brought to a
close Tuesday night when Dr. C. M.
Rosser, president of the State so-
j ciety, gave a public address at the
* Baptist church.
' Dr. Rosser in his address dwelt on
the efforts of the medical profession
to assist in the enforcement of the
State medical practice act, in which
he said that it was not through a
| spirit of jealousy that violators of
| this law are being prosecuted in var-
ious sections of the country, but that
1 it was for the protection of thft pub-
lic, who are being imposed on by men

the skin, kills disease germs, and
destroys the odor of perspiration.
A pure, neutral soap combined

At a meeting of the finance board
of the Christian church Monday
night, plans for the erection of a new
building for their congregation were
approved, and it was decided that the
work on the erection of the nev* edi-
fice should start as soon after the
first of the year as the weather will
permit. It is hoped that the build-
ing will be completed by the time
the present school term closes so that
the graduating exercises can be held
in the new church. In the past four
years three of these exercises have
beea held in new churches, and to
have this occur again will be quite a
record for this place.
We were misinformed in a prew
ious article which said that all the
finances had been arranged for, but
considerable money has been pledged,
and a drive will begin soon among
the membership to finish raising the
amount required for the completion
of the building. In the meantime,
the present edifice will undergo some
necessary repairs so that it can be
used during the coming winter. The
lumber in the old building -.ill be
used in the construction of the new

elected: J. D. Fuller, Mt. Pleasant,
moderator; Albert Spence, Pitts-
burg, secretary; E. A. Nelson, Pitts-
