THE LAUGH BUSTER
A thousand cattle running wild in
a big city—and Buster, alone, to
round them up! Talk about a
bull in a china shop! Buster
pursued long-horns in Turkish
baths, cows in barber shops and
calves in the public station! You
will say this is the funniest film
you ever saw. Laughs is what
it has nothing else but!

SLOGANS AND PERFORMANCE
Give the public a catchword and
straightway it will be parroted to
death. In a lecture to Akron Rotar-
ians District Governor Skeggs re-
grets what has hapened to his or-
ganization’s favorite slogan, “Ser-
vice.” He complains that it has
been overworked until it has become
almost nauseating. “We see the
word everywhere,” he says. “Busi-
ness firms have worked it to death,
we see it on stationery—letter heads,
windows, products—the repetition
has just about become disgusting.”
Governor Skeggs’ relief for this
condition is that everybody begin
talking less service and proceed to
practice it. This would be a grand
old world if every slogan devised, for
humanity’s good could bo subjected
t.o the same application—practiced
instead of professed. But perhaps it
is not in the nature of mankind to do
this. Patriots who profess to adore
Christian precepts of peace, are not
beyond temptation to uccept the pro-
fits of wnr. Many praise singers on
the Sabbath have been known to de-
vote themselves to di-honest prac-
tices throughout the week. Others
who stand up in massmeeting and
enthuse for some exemplary cause as
individuals often lie, cheat or defraud
for all their high professions.
The Rotary club leader’s excellent
counsel is broad enough to rebuke
hypocrisy and villiany in whatever
neighborhood or guise these ele-
ments may appear. His plea, in sub-
stance, is for common honesty. With
this principle carried into every re-
lation of life, fair words and fine
pretenses bound up in slogans will
never pall upon the public’s ear.—

PEOPLE AVOID YOU
IF YOU ARE PIMPLY
A boy or girl may have ever so
perfect a face, neck and poise, but if
even one little pimple, blotch, bump
or red spot shows, it ruins their whole
appearance. You know how true this
is, because you just naturally avoid
people whose appearance is not
pleasing.
These things are no longer to be
endured, however, because thousands
of people are getting rid of the worst
and most stubborn cases of such skin
diseases easily and quickly by using
Black and White Ointment, and Soap.
It seems like magic to eczema, ring-
worm, itch, “breaking out,” etc.
Dealers everywhere are recom-
mending Black and While Ointment
and Soap, now. They are economical-
ly priced in liberal size packages.
The 50c size Ointment contains three
times as much as the liberal 25c size.
The story with action and romance all combined.
