nis today in a parade opening
Tabernacle baptist Church's Va-
cation Bible School.

Three Traffic
Accidents Here
Over Weekend
Three weekend accidents ap-
peared on the records of the
Ennis Police Department today.
Two occured Saturday and one
Sunday.
Police say Mrs. Maurine Mc-
Kinney of Ferris driving south
on Highway 75 at 9:05 a.in.
Saturday. At the Denton cross-
ing, the two-year old son of Mrs.
Leon Duckett, 207 East Denton,
started to run across the high-
way.
When Mrs. McKinney stopped
to avoid hitting the child, police
report, a car driven by Mrs.
Juanita Johnson Ray, 1004 North
Breckenridge, collided from be-
hind.
The impact of the crash caus-
ed Mrs. Ray’s small daughter to
hit the windshield with her head
cracking it, but police said they
didn’t believe her injuries were
serious.
Both cars, however, were re-
ported badly damaged.
Another accident occured at
2:30 pin. Saturday when ears
driven by Mrs. L. Hollingsworth
Route 2, Ennis, and Fidencia
Sovala, Alma, collided at Main
and Ennis Avenue, police report-
ed.
Damage was heavy to both
cars, police report. Mrs. Hollings-
worth was reportedly driving
east on Ennis Avenue when
Sovala. headed north on Main,
stopped at the intersection and
then made a right turn in front
of her.
In an accident at Dallas and
Milam Sunday, a pickup truck
owned by James Tay. 1602 N.
Kaufman, was being driven
south on Dallas by his daughter.
Carolyn Mary Tay. A car was be-
ing driven east on Milam by Ray-
mond banger, address not listed.
Both vehicles, police say.

FOUR KILLED IN BOMBER CRASH--The largest remaining section of an Air Force B-25
which crashed in suburban Denver, shortly after taking off from nearby Lowry Air Force
Base, lies crumpled over an empty auto. Four of the eight persons aboard were killed when
the plane crashed and burned in the heavily populated suburban area. The plane narrowly
missed hitting four homes.

merce industrial committee has
called a community meeting for
3 p. m Monday.
T.'ie meeting to lie held in the
Chamber of Commerce assembly
room on the third floor of the
Texas Fire Building will he on
the subject of Flint.koto's loca-
tion here.
’The green light for carrying
out our part of the contract for
the location of Flint .koto Com-
pany’s facilities here was given
Friday.” Chamber of Commerce
Manager Jack McKay slated.
The firm completed its pur-
chase ol some 50 acres for a
plant site here Friday.
(Jordon Fogg, attorney with
the law firm of Locke-Locke and
Purnell, representing Flintkote,
was in Ennis Friday afternoon to
complete the transaction.
Payment was made for the
property and the title was de-
livered to him.
The next step. Walter B.
Rider, chairman of the indust-
rial committee said, is to contour
the land according to Flintkote's
specifications, as provided in the
Chamber of Commerce's agree-
ment with the firm. This part of
the agreement was a deciding
factor in Flintkote’s Board of
Directors decision to locate their
multi-million dollar plant in
Ennis. Rider pointed out.
"We are inviting all interested
citizens of Ennis to he present
and to participate in this im-
port ant meeting Monday." Rid-
er stated The purpose of the
meeting will he to kick-off a
fund-raising project in order to
carry out our part of the bargain
and insure Knnis' future, Rider
stated
