ternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Troy Bussey of
Nacogdoches visited Mr. and,
Mrs. Walter Cogbum Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lovis Harris
and Donald Paul of Palestine
visited Mrs. John Harris Satur-
day,
Mr. and Mrs. Tlracy Hayes
of San Augustine, Mr. and Mrs.
Bobby Hayes of Houston, Eld.
Coyle Johnson had lunch with
the Carrie Windhams Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. lee Boy Scott,
Ann and Yvonne Burgay and
Mr. and Mrs. Lem Hudson and
girls were afternoon callers.
Mrs. W. M. Magnesa has had
her sister from Georgia visa-
ing her. They have visited the
Joe Fountains of Shreveport,
and the Levy Stones of Pasa-
dena have been here to visit
with them. Mr. and Mrs. Hor-
ace Magness joined them this
week on a visit to Carlsbad,
Hew Mexico for a visit with
Mr. and Mm. Kyle Gibbs.
Hr. and Mrs. Charles Jack-
son and sons of Longview visit-
ed his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Chaa. Oorry last weekend.
They also visited Mr. and Mrs.
Melvin Ross of Wilda.
Our community was sadden
by the death of one of our
grove and Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Dan Hairgrcve spent Friday
in Austin.

Tenaha spent Sunday evening
with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hern-
don and Willie.

returned Monday after a sev-
eral days visit with their
daughter and family, Mr. and
Mrs. J. N. Salter of Garland.

CLUB NEWS
The Tennessee 4-H Club met
November 11th in the class-
rooms of the Presbyterian
church. The meeting was call-
ed to order by Charles Pol-
lard, president. Minutes were
approved. There were SI pres-
ent
Sandra Crawford led the
opening exercises. She then led
in singing the Eskimo song and
Tell Me Why.
The coundl delegate, Karen
Morris, gave a report on their
last meeting.
Three new members were
added to the roll. They are:
Judy Williams, Winnie Oliver
and Melissa Menefee.
Joe Allen Pollard, Karen
Morris and Sandra Crawford
were appointed to compose a
committee to think about rec-
reation equipment we could
buy.
The club and leaders drew
names for the Christmas party.
The price range ia 75c to $1.00.
Billie Jo Balkeom and Pat
Perry are on the refreshment
committee. Mstissa Menefee,
Sandra Crawford and Jtudy
Williams are on the decoration
committee. Stephen Lane and
Mike Perry are on the recrea-
tion committee. These commit-
tees will serve only for the next
meeting.
Hra. Balkeom gave a dem-
onstration on “What Do Cloth-
ing Labels Tell Us?"
Under announcement, Miss
Clinton reported about the
county awards program to be
given for those who won.

Center at 7 o'clock.
Meeting adjourned at 8 p.
m. for recreation, led by Rob-
ert Morris and Jimmy Bowlin.

At this time of year when we offer special thanks for the maay bleating* be-
stowed upon us; I take this Thanksgiving Season to express my deepest appreciation
to you for your outstanding cooperation and assistance to me thus far in my firrt term
as your District Judge, and the overwhelming endorsement which you have given to
my administration af your Court
Your prayers, your counsel and your assistance have assured the succese of
the program which 2 have begun in the general admintetnatioB at the District Court;
strengthening the jury system; establishing an active program for aid of homeless
and needy children, and a rapid disposition of the docket in both District and Juvenile
Court I believe that great progress ia being made in this program and humbly aak
your assistance in electing me for a Second Taras as your District Judge, in the I960
Democratic Primary.
I shall continue to devote my full time and energy to ths work of your District
Court Administering justice with respect for the law, tempered with the compas-
