Make Duplicate Parts'
For Huge Battleships
Philadelphia. (UP)—A sys-
tem of ordering duplicate
parts for the super-battle-
ships New Jersey and Wiscon-
sin is being adhered to in an
effort to speed up their con-
struction at Philadelphia Navy
Yard.
In this manner, officials inti-
mated, the dreadnaughts may
be completed a year ahead of
schedule. Original plans call-
ed for the launching of the
New Jersey in V944 and the
Wisconsin in 1946.
It is the first time since.the
world war that duplication
has been used in battleship
