Times’ good friend, J. M.
Weaver, in an example of
boundless energy, as one will
note in passing his residence
on South Second street. The
care of premises about his
home is his hobby, and nearly
any day when weather is fa-
vorable he may be seen with
hoe, rake or spade in the yard.
Thursday a bed was being
prepared for verbenas; Easter
lilies, pansies and other plants
have previously been planted.
A section on either side of the
yard is devoted to rosea. "I am
going to do some farming this
year,” Mr. Weaver said. Be-
tween the rose rows on one
side, Irish potatoes will be
planted; on the other side the
beauty of the rose will be en-
hanced by rows of carrots and
onions, he stated.
