HUNTSVILLE, (Spl) -A pub-
lic showing of the best art tal-
ent of inmate artists of the Tak-
as Department of Corrections
will he held here Thursday, July
JO in the (Bison’s visiting room,
it was announced by Dr. George
J. Bern, director of the prison
system.
The public display will be
held from J to 9 p.m., and again
from 7 to 8 p.m.. Dr. Be to said.
The display wCl include the
works of top inmate artists of
the entire prison system, pre-
judged from more than 200 en-
tries. The judging will be done
by the nrt faculty of Sam Hous
ton State Teachers College.
Richard C. Joses, assistant dt-

the exhibit is part of the pri-
son's rehabilitation program de-
signed to foster and build worth-
while Interests and values among
the inmates.
