speaker in Use Timpson Meth-
odist Church Sunday, October
23. Many churches will ob-
serve Layman’s Day October
16, bat arrangement has been
made to hear Judge Davis on
the 23rd instead.
The pastor, Rev. Lawrence
C. Upton, will preach Sunday
morning, using the subject an-
nounced last week, "The Lov-
ing Savior.” This service was
postponed until Sunday. Spe-.

the evening service next Sun-!

The feature length film in
Eastman. Color giving high
points in the life of John Wes-
ley, founder of Methodism,
will -be shown in the Timpsor,
church, November 6th. “He
began a movement which
changed millions of lives—and
is stil changing them."
Rev. Upton will teach a
course on "Educational Work
in the Small Church” in Frank-
lin, Texas, on Monday, Tues-
day and Wednesday night of

son students are serving dur-
ing the 1955-56 school year as
members of the Stephen F.
Austin State College JBand.
They are: Joseph D. Sapp,
son of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Sapp
of Timpson. He is a junior
student, majoring ill music. He
graduated from Tinrpson High
School in 1953, and was a
member of the band.
Jce Neel, son of D. L. Neel
of Timpson. He is a sophomore
student, majoring in math. He
graduated from Timpson High
School in 1964 where he was
a member of the band.
Miss Linda Sue Wallace,
daughter of Mrs. Rets Wallace
of Timpson. She is a senior stu-
dent, majoring fat elementary
education, and graduated from
Timpson High School in 1953.
