contests
Judging Contest time
has arrived again. The
Hondo FFA Chapter boys
will be entering two
judging contests this
weekend as practice before
moving into district and
area judging contests.
Early Saturday morning
a bus load of FFA boys
will depart lor Texas A&M
Universitv, where they will
compete in practice judg-
ing of Lana, Range and
Poultry. Alter the contest-
ants have completed filling
in their cards, the official
answers will be given as
the boys go back through
the classes they judged.
The Land team will
score four land judging
sites The Range team will
Score Two rdnge utiliza-
tions silt's and a pasture
, judging site, and will
identify and classify 15
grass plants The Poultry
judging teams will score 9
classes (these include birds
and market eggs).
Also Hondo FFA boys
will enter the Southwest
Texas University Judging.
Contest at San Marcos
Here the boys will score
classes of dairy cattle and
classes ot beet cattle and
hogs and sheep After the
cards have been turned in.

'Texas Lions Camp for
Diabetic Children and i-
offering three camping
sessions at two different
locations for its T973
program.
A two-week session at
Camp M anison near
Friendswood for diabetic,
•children from six through
sixteen, from June. 4
through June 15\ limited
to 150 campers.
A three-week .camp,
from June lb through July
b, also at Camp Manisor^,
for diabetic children who
have had prev ious diabetit
camping experience This
^.session will operate in
conjunction- with the regu-
lar camping session at
Camp Manison and is
limited to 50 campers.
A two week session,
from July 29 through
August 11. at Texas .Lions
( amp for Crippled -Chil-
dren. Kerrville, - for 75
diabetic children from ten
