Several high end items are in the
budget as they have been in
previous years and remain in the
budget because the equipment in
question, a portable x-ray machine
jnd telemetry equipment currently
in use by the hospital, are old and
should they go out they would need
to be replaced immediately To date.

Gordon, approved the purchase of maintain the equipment at a cost lur
a 5mm Laparoscope, a diagnostic
surgical instrument, at an estimated
cost of $1,895, funds for which
were budgeted in the current
budget
Monthly reports
Steve Beck. CEO. presented a
review of the financial reports tor
the month of July to board
members.
He stated July produced a fairly
typical summer month and overall
volume was low. However, some
areas achieved volume which was
less than the cost of replacement.,
He emphasized they will continue
to do so as long as the items are sate
hut the future purchase of both
pieces of equipment is imminent.
In order to keep the budget
w ithin the proposed monies allotted,
several items will come into play
for the coming year. The hospital
district will strive to maintain
volume and is currently working on
effective billing and pricing
changes, particularly in regard to
Medicare billing.
