A new pupil, Lisa Geis,
enrolled in Mrs. Wells1
third grade this week. She
is from Port Arthur and
lives in Scotland,
The class has been busy-
taking achievement tests.
Now they are going to de-
corate the room for Hallo-
ween, which is one of their
favorite days.
Trick or Treat
.For-.First Graders
The pupils in Mrs. El-
more’s room have been mak-
ing Halloween decorations
for their room. They have
made a phonic sheet for
each consonant as- they^have
learned it at the beginning
of new words. These sheets
will be made into a book.
They took home an Art
Book they made of Nursey
Rhymes.
They have learned to
add using the Cuisenaire
rods and letter names for
each rod.

WITH SMALL PARTY
During Mrs. Crowley's
English IV classes, parties
were given to treat the
winning groups.
The group averaging the
fewest mistakes on the ma-
jor tests over each chap-
ter covered during the
first six weeks determined
the winners.
In second period Eng-
lish, Debie Martin’s group,
consisting of Eddie W:right,
Jim Bob Crowley, and Belin-
da O’Donohoe were the dis-
tinguished group. Theresa
Knox's foursome was honored
fifth period. They were
Preston Crutcher, Jimmy
Sheppard, and La Nell Mob-
ley.
Sandwiches, chips, dips,
brownies, cokes,etc. were
served.

87 Grade Schoolers Make “It"
The first six weeks
found 87 elementary stu-
dents making the honor-
roll.
The fifth grade led the
”.J' roll with 0 students.

Refresments were serv-
ed and the meeting was ad-
journed .

Kittens Lose

Coach: Mike's junior high
Kittens lost their foot-
ball game last Thursday
night with Holliday’s junior
high by the score of 16-6.
The Kittens only score
came on a reverse play to
Ronnie Williams. The extra
point conversion failed.
