You feel
a little edgy)
or maybe cross.
Sooner or later, that day
comes, the day when a
woman feels she’s chang-
ing. It’s not a good feeling
either. And she could use a
good old-fashioned medicine
then.
You might even have what
we call hot flashes and feel
sad and slightly off-balance.
Whatever you feel, we
have something for the day
you need a little comforting.
Lydia E. Pinkham Tablets.
They’re made with gentle,
natural ingredients that work
to help you feel better. When
you start changing, you
could use a good old-fash-
ioned medicine for an old-
fashioned problem. And, you
don’t run any chance of the
kind of unpleasant side ef-
fects you can get from some
of the newer drugs.

AN OPEN LETTER
To the Community of Howe:
It was my pleasure to attend! the meeting of your City
Council this past week along with several interested citizens.
The subject of the meeting was the use to which certain land
within the city limits of Howe would be put. I was very inter-
ested and pleased to find that an over-all, city growth and
zoning plan called the “Howe Plan” is being completed un-
der the direction of your City Council and Planning Com'
mission. Your Mayor and Councilmen have worked long and
hard on this plan. It will be a necessary tool by which your
city government can protect you, the property owner,
from below standard houses and buildings. It will, in fact,
help protect the value of your property from i depreciation
because of neighboring property.
I commend the City Council for their forward* looking
approach to the future of Howe. I think each of we property
owners and citizens owe them a de(bt of gratitude. But more
than this, we owe them our interest and support in their ef-
forts. The next time you see youE Mayor or Councilmen,
why not tell them you appreciate what they are doing for
YOU? And, why don’t you attend a council meeting and
show some interest?!
Sincerely,
William H. Long Jr.
