surance, three; for disorderly con-
duct, two.
Citations issued for improper
turn, one.
The Police Department has made
three arrests; has assisted the fire
department four times and made
two funeral escorts.
Calls answered by the Alto Police
Department include three distur-
bance calls; four burglar alarm
calls; 10 motor assist calls; five
burglary calls; two theft calls;
three warrants; eight accidents,
has worked one disturbance call
with weapons involved, and has
assisted the ambulance two times.
The total hours worked by the Alto
Police Department is 216*2.

The Alto High School Classes of
1974, ’75 and ’76 will hold a reunion
on August 3 All members of those
classes are urged to notify the
organizers of the reunion if they will
be attending

held in the new high school

Youngsters at Rube Sessions
Memorial Library, Wells, hear a
story read by Susan Burke at a
meeting of the ”Awesome Adven-
tures” reading club. The program,
under the direction of Fran Hopper,
continues through July 30. The
group meets each Tuesday after-
noon at 2:30 for stories, films and
other educational activities.

Mr Wilson died June 26 in a Waco
hospital after a brief illness
A native of Aito, he was a long
time resident of the area and was a
compliance inspector for Texas
Animal Health Commission He had
served as constable of Cherokee
County Precinct 2. and had been a
Cherokee County deputy sheriff
several years He was a member of
the Baptist church
He is survived by two sons, A!
Wilson of Nacogdoches, and Jim
Hill Wilson of Alto: one brother,
Jim Wilson of Alto, and one gran-
ddaughter.
