If you need a good well bored
on your farm or ranch, call on
or write A. Dietrich at Tivoli,
Texas. He has a splendid out-
fit for this kind of work and he
is one of the best experienced
well men in this country.
—As an evidehce of the neces-
sity of a new courthouse here on
last Monday when district court
opened there was barely room
in the present old temple of jus-
tice to seat the attorneys, jurors
and witnesses who came in to
attend Court.
—Walter Toups shipped out a.
car load of fat Jersey Red hogs
of his own raising from Woods-
boro last Saturday to Ft Worth.
The hogs were all of uniform
size and color, in fine shape, and
•Air. Gallia says they were the
best lot of porkers he had ever
seen anywhere.
—According to the last issue
of the Anstwell Dispatch the
town of Tivoli now has a popu-
lation of 700 inhabitants, about
200 less than Refugio and about
100 more than Anstwell. If the
Dispatch is correct Tivoli has
taken a remarkable growth in
the past few months.
—“Buck,” the Woodsboro cor-
respondent of the Austwell Dis-
patch says that the county seat
of Refugio don’t need a court-
house. Well, if the county seat
don’t need it some other part of
the county ought to have one,
or else attach this county to
some other county that has one.
—The butchers of Refugio are
now selling fresh cut beef from
the block at 10, 12% and 15
cents per pound, which is a lit-
tle bit lower than many other
places. But if the prices of cat-
tle continue to go higher our
dealers will be compelled to raise
the present prices.
