Sunday wa. a rainy day and
the weather wa. real balmy,
but thanks to God (he ground

and that means we will have
an early spring. We hope the
water 1. out all over the bot-
tom and there should be aloi
of fish this year. We have a lot
of waits! in the earth and It
should be a good crop year for
the farmers. God always knows
what we need more than we
do.

Orel Robinson. She went back
Sunday to college.
We are glad to report Fannon
Garrett ii better. Ills wife,
Daora, called rue Saturday
and said he was better. We

was down Sunday, due to sick-
ness and bad weather. This Is
the most rain we have seen In
a long time, but the good Lad
knows whet he Is doing.

Northcutt of Emery.
Ihuee visiting Mr. & Mn.
Ardis Miller were Mr. & Mrs.
Wayne Miller of Longview and
Mr. 4 Mrs. Bun Buford, Mrs.
Peggy Mitchell & Laqulta;
the pretty little daughter visit-
ed Mn. Lucinda Mitchell over
the weekend.
Mrs. Minnie Shumate had to
go back to Dallas to see her
doctor, she i> not feeling very
well.
Mrs. Eva Knighi was not in
church Sunday. Gueis the rain
was too bad for her since she is
only 90 years young.
Mn. Myrtle Bailey is doing
as well as can be expected I
guess.
We found the rest of the peo-
ple In the rest home about the
same I guess.
Mr. 4 Mrs. Joe Ray Dougher-
ty visited his mother & dad,
Mr. 4 Mn. V. V. Dougherty,
some last week.
Mr. & Mrs Bufad Jr. Cates
was down doing some work
on the farm house and they al-
so visited the V. V. Dougher-
tys. Gary Dougherty Is going
to school and his wife helps
Mary do the feeding, which

Harmon, my son, and grand-
sou, Mike Kennemer, brought
me home from Garland after
a vial: with them. Water was
ova the road in three places
the other side of Quinlan.
None were too deep at that
time for us to cruas, but was a
bit scary to me, whom one
could call a land lubber",

Clinic at Dallas.
Pete Byram has been serious-
ly ill and was hospitalized at
a Quitman hospital last week.
We were told he had pneumon-
ia. He was Improving last
weekend.
Fluaste Ingram, who was
visiting het daughter In Gat-
land, boca me sick and was
taken to a doctor. She was hos-
pitalized there and was report-
ed to have had mina surgery
last week.
