COMMUNITY CALENDAR AND
ANNOUNCEMENT POLICY
The Community Calendar and
Announcement sections are for non-
profit organizations such as churches,
schools, and benefits helping families
or certain groups. The benefit must run
what it is and where the money is going.
No prices will be allowed in the place-
ment. For example, no ticket price, no
door price or no prize price. "Donations
will be accepted" is acceptable language,
but no amount is allowed. Items in ques-
tion will be handled on a case-by-case
basis and placement or non-placement
will be at the discretion of the editor and
the publisher. The placer always has
the opportunity to purchase an adver-
tisement in the paper to run the full
announcement. I f he or she wishes to do
so, they will be directed to advertising

RPMH Track Closed
Due to the construction of a new
medical office building at Rolling Plains
Memorial Hospital, the walking track
and related areas will be closed begin-
ning June 18, 2012. Rolling Plains
Memorial Hospital apologizes for any
inconvenience and looks forward to the
reopening of thisareatothepublicat the
completion of construction.
Football Tickets
General admission football tickets for
the Sweetwater vs. Breckenridge game
may be purchased at the Sweetwater ISD
administration building, 207 Musgrove,
beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
Ticket sales will end Friday, Sept. 14, at
1 p.m. The ball game will be played in
Breckenridge with kick-off at 7:30 p.m.

Nolan County Republican
Women's Club
An organizational meeting for the
Nolan County Republican Women’s Club
will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012,
at one of the classrooms of the Rolling
Plains Memorial Hospital. Refreshments
will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the meet-
ing will begin at 7 p.m. Any interested
person is invited to attend.
Car Show at the H oyt H ouse
The Hoyt House will be hosting a car
show on Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 5:30-6:30
p.m. Many different types of cars, from
antiqueto modern, will be shown. Call 235-

Adult Literacy/ESL
The Adult Literacy/ESL class will meet
at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the

Story Hour
Story Hour at the County-City Library
for parents and their children will be at

Flu Clinic
The Sweetwater-Nolan County Health
Department will have a flu clinic on
Thursday, Sept. 13, from 8-11:30 a.m. and
1-4:30 p.m. Medicare and Medicaid are

Adopt-a-M ustang Sign-ups
Sign-ups for Adopt-a-M ustang start at
5 p.m. sharp on Thursday, Sept. 13, at
the old concession stand on the south
end of the Mustang Bowl. Be prepared to
give your name, address, phone number
and t-shirt size when you sign-up. Bring
money (checks payable to Mustang Moms)
to the Adopt-a-M ustang booth at the bowl.
Participation is first come, first serve. No
early requests will be accepted.
Saturday, Sept. 15
BBQ Brisket Fundraiser
There will be a BBQ brisket sandwich
fundraiser at the Edward D. Jones build-
ing on Saturday, Sept. 15, starting at 9
a.m. It will benefit the Sweetwater Catholic
Youth in their trip to the Region 10 Youth
Conference n San Angelo.

September Art Exhibit
The September Artist of the Month at
the County-City Library is Wynelle Terry
of Roby. On display are her paintings and

from 1-6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from

Girl Scouts Leaders
The Girl Scouts are currently seeking
out women who have earned the one of
the Highest Awards while in the pro-
gram. Please ask your local Girl Scout
leaders who earned oneof Girl Scouting's
Highest Awards (the Gold Award; First
Class; Curved Bar; or the Golden Eaglet).

Chapman Account
James Chapman, known as Tim to
friends and associates, was in a bike
wreck on April 12, 2012. He suffered a
head injury and was in surgery for seven
hours. Due to this injury, he lost his job
and isin need of financial help. Chapman
also lost his home in November 2011 to a
fire. An account has been set up at Texas
National Bank for Chapman to help with
medical bills and travel expenses to and
from Abilene. The account number is

Garrett Account
A benefit account has been set up
at Roscoe State Bank to assist Janice
Garrett, who lost all of her belonging in
the fire at Jack Lambert Apartments on
May 15, 2011. To makeacontribution, go
