L. P. PARKER, Pastor
A revival - meeting began
Wednesday night at the Pres-
byterian Church in Mesquite
with the Rev. Guy W. Green,
nationally famous evangelist of
Kansas City, speaking each e-
vening at 7 l45 o’clock.
The Rev. Green, who has spo-
ken in many of the larger cities
of the nation, came to Mesquite
from St. Louis, where he spoke
on Every Day Religion. He has
held more meetings than any
other evangelist in the Presby-
terian church, sensational a-
mong them was a revival held
in Borger, when that Texas
town was under martial law. It
was there that 56 people joined
the church at one service. Stor-
ies of the successful meeting
were carried by the Associated
Press and United Press over the
country.
Mr. Green has been referred
to as “unique in style of delivery
charming in personality, fine in
language, and true to Christ.”
The public is invited to hear
the Rev. Green each evening
Oct. 21 through Nov. 1, at the
Presbyterian Church.

0 Here is a “devil” that is worth
while. The “go-devil” is a scraper
device that cleans the interior of
pipe lines. It is forced through the
pipe by pressure of the Gas. The
“go-devil” must be sturdy enough to
withstand many miles of operation
at high and low speeds, but must be
flexible enough to go around the
bends.
Building such a piece of equip-
ment for Gas line cleaning was no
easy job. But it is only one of the
many daily tasks performed by
United Gas workmen, so that your
Gas service shall continue to be
dependable. With the winning of
the war as our No. 1 job, our respon-
sibilities have increased many fold.
And the “go-devil” is helping be-
cause by maintaining efficiency it is
contributing greatly to the war
effort. Dependable Natural Gas
Service will continue to work for
Victory.
