Some things make us SO mad — for instance the hor-
rors that are called “Funny Books” — well your children
won’t find them on OUR racks and neither will they be sub-
jected to the “Funnies” filled with so-called ‘amour’. Wonder
who is at the publishing end of that sort of literature.
Of course, in Boerne, everybody reads the “Star” — and
we HOPE most of you turn to THIS page and read about the
beautiful new gifts we have on display. Some arrived in
fascinating crates with foreign labels all over, hand-painted
dishes with FEET, (Don’t you just LOVE dishes with feet)
if you-all don’t buy them, it is all right with us, for we don’t
mind having these around to admire.
Overheard from a plump teen-ager the other day “Just
when I think I have lost some weight, I look behind me, and
there it is!”
And would you say that a gigolo is a free-male?
Having difficulty with your nails? Finger-nails, that is?
Try Hazel Bishop nail preparations. She has come out with
a pearly irridescent polish that gilds your nails even as the
lily. All other glamorous shades, too that stay and STAY.
For the little ones, a complete supply of everything for
the swimming pool, even the swimming pool itself, in plastic,
all sizes for wading or all-over dunking. Beach balls, ear
plugs, bathing caps, swim fins, kapok stay-a-float vests, all
sizes. Ho Hum! Nice thought, lying down in the water with
a vest to keep your nose afloat. After about five days and
nights of such utter relaxation, believe even WE would be
rested. It is in those old COLD countries that all this trouble
and upheaval begins, if they were as warm there as we are,
here, they too just COULDN’T get mad at anybody. Much
too enervating.
Oh Yes—a box of cleansing tissues of ONE THOUSAND
tissues for 79c. Enough to last the whole family for weeks
and weeks.
See you real soon?
