We are pleased to announce the \yinners in our
recent contest. Mrs. L. W. Barnett of Boeme won first
prize of $10.00 and Mrs. June Cunningham won sec-
ond prize of $5.00. Also, Mrs. Ruben Kasper of Boerne
and Mrs. “Anon Y. Mous” also of Boerne, wrote such
extremely fine, sincere letters, that we take it upon
ourselves to award them duplicate prizes of $5.00 each.
If these ladies will call at the store, they can pick up
their checks. (We are consumed with curiosity as to
the identity of “Mrs. Mous”.)
We wish to thank all of you who sent in letters.
They were all so wonderful that we just wish we could
give a prize to every single one.
It might be of interest to you to know that most
of the letters concerned our prescription department.
The Prescription service is the heart and soul of a
drug store. You can buy soap and tooth brushes and
shoe polish and writing paper in many places (we still
think you should TRY THE DRUG STORE FIRST)
BUT Prescriptions are filled only by a registered phar-
macist at a registered pharmacy and that makes a drug
store a different kind of store from any other.
Now, we are wondering what the response would
be if we ran a contest on “Why I do NOT trade at
Roberts Drug Store”. There may be a few of you who
do not, and we would very much like to know why not.
We try so hard to give Boerne the best service we
possibly can. And, quote, “We don’t want ALL the
business, just YOURS”.

Build a circular dike around
your ailing shade trees and give
them a drink. Water and fertiliz-

dike should approximate the
shade canopy of the tree.
Mastitis is one of the chief
causes of a heavy turnover in
Texas dairy herds. More effec-
tive control of this turnover
would go a long way toward im-
proving the efficiency of the
state’s dairy industry and help-
ing individual dairymen meet
today’s competitive standards.
