Obituaries
GENE P. HOUGH
1935-1995
Services for Gene P. Hough, 60, of Pasadena, were held at 3:00
p.m. Monday, July 31 at Pasadena Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Hough died Friday July 28.
Gene, Sue and Teresa Hough owned and operated The Keepsake
in Deer Park. He was a manager for Deer Park Lumber Company for
29 years. He was an Army Veteran and a coach. He was also an
officer of Deepwater Little League, Pasadena Pony League and
Pasadena Colt League.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Hough; son and daughter-in-law,
Michael Hough and Ann, of Houston; daughters and son-in-law,
Teresa Hough, Michelle Estep and Robert, Houston; sisters and
brother-in-law, Madelene and Jake Kimbrell, Seagraves and Bettye
Hough of Odessa.
ROSE JAMES KENLEY
1923-1995
Funeral services for Rose James Kenley, 71, of Lubbock, formerly
of Seminole, were held Saturday, July 29, at The Indiana Ave. Baptist
Church. Rev. John Lodet of Albuquerque, her nephew Rev. Paul Keley
of First Baptist Church in Dimmit and her grandson Rev. Rex Clayton
of First Baptist Church in Sundown officiated.
Entombment followed in the Resthaven Mausoleum under the direction
of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kenley died Thursday, July 27, in Methodist Hospital.
She was bom July 28,1923 in Delwin and had been a longtime Lubbock
resident. She married Lewis Kenley on June 4,1954 in Lubbock. She
retired as a school counselor, and was a member of Indiana Ave. Baptist
Church.
Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Joy Mazy of New Braunsfel
and Bobbie Burkey of Lubbock; one brother, Edgar Nash of Lubbock;
two sisters, Altha Guinn of Littlefield and Dorothy Slayton of Lubbock;
six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
RAMON LUJAN
1930-1995
Funeral Mass for Ramon Lujan, 64, of Odessa, formerly of
Seminole, was at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 1, at the St. James
Catholic Church in Seminole with Rev. Liam Sweeny officiating.
Burial was in Gaines County Cemetery under the direction of
Roger Pool Funeral Home. Rosary was on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Lujan died July 28, at University Hospital in Albuquerque,
NM after an illness. He was bom on March 9, 1930 in Chichiwa,
Mexico. He was a farm laborer and a Catholic. He had been a
resident of Odessa for two years and had lived in Seminole four
years previously. He is preceded in death by his wife Alica Ontiveros
in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Margareta Lujan of Mexico and
Maria Jesus Lujan of Kansas; three sons, Jose of Odessa, Manuel and
Gilbert both of Ulysses, Kansas; one brother, Gregorio of Mexico;
one sister, Soledad Franco of Seminole; and 16 grandchildren.
ROY MAXEY JR.
1939-1995
Funeral services for Roy Maxey Jr. 56, of Midland, formerly of
Seminole, were held at 9:30 a.m. in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with
Pastor James McNamee, of Bible Missionary Church in Odessa,
officiating. Burial followed in Seminole under the direction of Ellis
Funeral Home.
Mr. Maxey died Friday, July 28, after an accident which resulted
from falling off a roof.
He was bom on October 16, 1939, to Roy Maxey Sr. and Mary
Belle Stout in Mt. Vernon. In 1948 he moved with his family to
Tarzan and Lenorah and attended school in Grady Consolidated.
Later, he moved to California for several months before coming back
home to Lenorah and then volunteering and joining the Army. He
was a Veteran of the Army and was stationed in Ft. Bliss, Korea and
Ft Polk, Louisiana. After his discharge, he moved to Seminole and
worked on a farm. He went to work in oilfields on land and offshore
drilling and toolpushing. He moved to Midland in 1974 and
continued to work in the oilfield. He had worked for Trey Tracks for
years. He was preceded in death by his father in 1977 and a
granddaughter, Kathleen on January 1,1995.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Belle Maxey of Midland; one
son. Rocky Joe Maxey, of Midland; two daughter, Rebecca Kay
Maxey, of Midland and Cynthia Nell Maxey of Amarillo; one
brother James Maxey, of Midland; three sisters, Mary Jean Maxey of
Lubbock, Della Maxey Goins of Arlington, and Charlene Fimbres of
Marana, Arizona; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews.
RANDY MILLOY
1949-1995
Services for Randy Milloy of Olton were held at 2:00 p.m.
Monday at Union Congregational Church in Friona with Rev.
Richard Edwards Pastor, of First United Methodist Church of Dumas
officiating.
Burial followed at Friona Cemetery.
Mr. Milloy passed away on Friday, July 28, at Methodist Hospital
in Lubbock.
He was bom on August 28,1949 in Dimmitt.
Randy served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Friona. Randy married
Vandra Sue Nichols on June 9, 1973 in Friona. Randy had lived in
Olton 18, years moving from Friona.
Surviors include two sons, Randy Van Milloy of Lubbock and
Brock Milloy of Seminole; one daughter, Micah Milloy of Lubbock;
one brother, Joe Mark Milloy of Farwell; one sister, Shirley J. White
of Friona.

Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Roberson of Seminole, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hatley
of Lubbock and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Combs of Seminole have
announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their children,
Jeri D’Ann Hatley and Rupert Lee Combs, both of Odessa.
The couple will be married Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. at the M.S. Doss
Chapel in Seminole.
Miss Hatley is a 1995 graduate of Seminole High School and is
currently attending Odessa College. Combs is a 1989 graduate of
Seminole High School and is currently employed by Sears in Odessa.

has joined the U.S. Army
Reserve.
Sergeant First Class Colleen
Flaherty of the Army’s
Recruiting Station at 4706 North
Midkiff, Suite 10, Midland, who
recruited Ms. Dolloff, says she
has been assigned to the 4005th
USA Hospital at Lubbock, where
she will serve six years.
Ms. Dolloff is scheduled to
report February 16,1996 to begin
basic training at Fort Jackson,
South Carolina and will proceed
to Fort Sam Houston for the
advanced individual training as a
Practical Nurse.
Ms. Dolloff is a 1995 graduate
of Seagraves High School.
