THE NINETY-NINES, INC.
May 22, 1997
Thank you so much for talking to the Ninety-
Nines last Saturday. We all enjoyed hearing of
your adventures very much. You all have such
wonderful things to talk about. I think that this
was the best meeting we've had all year.
While we were at the meeting, the letter
carrier wa.s del iv-fierig to my house a copy of
"Woman Pilot" magazine. The enclosed article was copied from
that magazine. I hope you enjoy reading it. I'm only sorry that
the article was not available before the meeting. It appears we
had a celebrity in our midst and didn't realize it and she was
too humble to tell us.
- I've also included a copy of one of the pictures that I took
I enjoyed meeting you very much and know that everyone in
the room was most interested in your history. It's a shame that
the WASP was disbanded so early in it's life. What a great
service you ladies did for our country.
Our June 28th chapter meeting will be held at Fantasy of
Flight, Florida's Premier Aviation Themed Attraction in Polk
City. We will be given a guided tour of the exhibit and then will
be served lunch in the Officer's Club dining room for lunch.
If you have never been to Fantasy of Flight, it's a great
experience! We would be most happy if you would like to join us
there. I think the tour would bring back lots of memories for
We will meet in the lobby of Fantasy of Flight at 9:45 AM
for a Guided 2 hour tour of the exhibit; then we will go to the
Officer's Club for lunch and our meeting. The lunch choices are:
Tropical Chicken Salad: a hearty portion of seasoned
chicken accompanied by a medley of almonds, pineapples
and celery, tossed in our tropical dressing, served on
a fresh buttery croissant
OR Ham and two cheese croissant: a generous portion of
country ham, Swiss and American Cheeses with honey
