pleasure for the local auxiliary to
have Miss Berta Murray, president
of Pres-Mex. and a group of her
helpers, appear on the program
Thursday afternoon when the aux-
iliary celebrated the party here at
the home of Mrs c F Hopper.
Miss Murray showed technicolor
movies of the school and its stu-
dents in school routine.
Mrs W. B Gardner presented
the cause of defense council work
During the afternoon a free will
offering was taken.
Mrs. J M Brooks presided at the
business meeting and announced
that honoray life memberships had
been conferred on Mrs Paul D Han-
na and Mrs. George Spark.

Mrs Anna B Carlisle of Premonl
passed away early Wednesday mor-
ning May 3 Serv ces were conduc-
ter Thursday attemoon with the
Reverend Ralph C Mulder presid-
ing
Mrs Carlisle was 85 years of age
Her family moved here in 1908 from
Nebraska They lived at Copita un-
til 1921, then moved to Premont.
Mr CirliS e died in 1932 Mrs
Carlile is survived by four daugh-
ters Mrs K ng of Nebraska Mrs
Hazel Lytle of Copita. Mrs Nellie
Heinzman of California and Mrs
Fowler of Denver Colorado.
Mr and Mrs. A C. Talley left for
a three month s visit in Colorado,
New Mexico and North Texas. Jam-
es and Darrell Talley and Gail Hen-
derson accompained them to Chil-
dress and returned to Premont
later They brought with them, up-
on their return to Premont. Mrs. J
C. Talley who has been in Hollis,
Oklahoma
