ring ceremony. An arch of
white majesticdaisies and
commodore fern was
flanked by four candela-
bra with white tapers and
matching baskets of white
gladiolas and white ma-
jestic daisies formed the
background.
Mrs. Frank Simms, or-
ganist, provided tradi-
tional wedding music and
accompanist Mrs. Dwain
Hogue of Borger, aunt of
the bride who was soloist.
The bride, who was gi-
ven in marriage by her fa-
ther, wore a gown of silk
faced peau de soie which
was designed with a fit-

sleeves and a scalloped
neckline appliqued with
Venice lace outlined with
seed pearls. The bouffant
skirt of unpressed folds
and garlands of lace mo-
tifs cascading down the
front had a long skirt
flowing into a sanctuary
train. Her tiered veil of
French silk illusion was
held in place by a crown
of tiny seed pearls and
crystal. She carried a
white Bible topped with a
white orchid and stepho-
natis tied with white
streamers of stephonatis
and lone knots.
Miss Reva Atkins, sis-
ter of the bride was maid
of honor. Bridesmaids
were Miss Patricia
Davis, Miss Sheryl Kea-
hey and Miss Annette
Farrell, cousin of the
groom. All wore identical
street-length dresses of
yellow polished cotton fa-
shioned with a boat neck-
line and cap sleeves. They
wore white veil hats and
white accessoriesv and
carried colonial bouquets
of white marqurette dais-
ies with white satin
streamers.
Miss Laurie Hogue of
Borger was flower girl
and Jeff Hogue was ring
bearer. Both are cousins
of the bride.
Rudy Robinson was best
man. Groomsmen were
Ronnie Pingelton, brother
of the groom; Jim Brink-
ley and Jerry Williams.
Ushers were Phil Ro-
berts, Jay Bob Roselius,
Bill Addington and George
King.
Mrs. Johnnie Farrell,
aunt of the groom, regis-
tered the guests.
Following the ceremo-
ny the reception was held
in the church parlor. The
bride’s table was laid with
a cutworktablecloth
which belonged to the
groom’s grandmother.
Yellow candles in crystal
holders flanked the cen-
terpiece of daisies which
was held in a silver tea-
pot belonging to the
g r o o m ’ s grandmother.
Crystal appointments
were used. Mrs. Lewis
Atkins and Mrs. Dwain
Hogue, aunts of the bride
were servers.
For a wedding trip to
New Mexico the bride
wore a brown two piece
suit with matching acces-
sories.
The couple will make
their home here. The
bride is employed by The
Light House and the
groom is attending barber
college.
The groom’s parents
hosted the rehearsal din-
ner.
Prenuptial courte-
sies included a shower
given August 3 in the home
of Mrs. Clarence Shep-
herd. Assisting hostesses
were Mlrs. Buddy Davis,

were united in marriage
August 21 in the chapel
of the First Methodist
Church here with the Rev.
R. L. Willingham, mini-
ster, officiating.
The bride is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. G.R,
Paslay of Tallequah,
Okla., and the groom is
the son of Mr., and Mrs.
Clarence C. Williams of
Panhandle, Texas.
Mrs. Williams is a gra-
duate of Denver City
(Texas) High School and
attended Northeastern
Utpyersity at Tallequah.
She is presently a senior
at West Texas State Uni-
versity in Canyon.
Williams was gradu-
ated from Panhandle High
School and received his
BS degree from West

Crist, Mrs. James Ack-
ley, Mrs. Alfred Rogers,

et, to Charles Ray Milam,
son of Mrs. E.G. Holmes

Miss Powell is a 1964
graduate of Panhandle
High School and is attend-
ing Pampa College of
Hairdressing.
Milam is a 1963 gradu-
ate of Panhandle High
School and is employed
in Amarillo.

E. Poesy are thq parents
of a daughter, Kari, born
August 30. The infant
weighed six pounds ele-
ven ounces. The Poesys
are the parents of two

La Rae and Mari Ann.

Mrs. R.G. Downs and Mr.
and Mrs. S.D. Posey of
Memphis.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Forsyth of Sunray are
the parents of a daugh-
ter, Sherre LeAnn born
August 21 in a Dumas hos-
pital. She weighed eight
pounds, thirteen ounces.
Mrs. Forsyth is the for-
mer June Corgill, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. R.A.
Corgill of Childress. Mr.
and Mrs. R.C. Forsyth
are paternal grandpa-
rents and H. Corgill of
Childress is a great-
grandfather.
Gentle, formerly of Pan-
handle, now of Irving, are
the parents of a daughter,
born Aug ust 28. She
weighed five pounds, eight
opnces. Mrs. Gentle is a
former teacher in Pan-
handle schools. The Gen-
tles have two other chil-
dren Tommy 13, and
Marilyn, 7. Grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Phenix and Mrs. Mary
Gattis of Grapevine.
Mr. and Mrs. Dave
Stinnett and Janine of Co-
lorado Springs, Colo.,
spent the week-end visi-
ting Mr. and Mrs. G.C.
Shepherd and family.
Mrs. Stinnett and Mrs.
Shepherd are sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ga-
bel are parents of a son,
Leland Andrew, born Au-
gust 29. He weighed se-
ven pounds, one ounce.
