BITS OF WISDOM
When we do the best we
can, we never know what
miracle is wrought in our own
life or in the life of another.
Of Rain Gauged
Rain started falling in
Winkler County early Friday
and by early Saturday, more
moisture had been gauged
during this period than had
fallen since the first of the
year.
A total of 1.56 inches of
rainfall was measured Friday
by officials at Flight Service
Station, Winkler County
Airport. This brought the
year’s total to 2.38 inches.
Slow to heavy showers fell
all day Friday in Kermit.
Drainage streets, constructed
to handle flood water, from
town streets were filled.
Ranchers throughout the
area also welcomed the rainfall,
which makes for better range
conditions.

Lions Club and First United
Methodist Church. He has
previously served two terms on
the school board.
In announcing his candidacy
to the school board, Anderson
stated: “I would again enjoy
working with our outstanding
school system at KISD. As a
trustee, it is indeed a challenge
and a pleasure to work with
everyone interested in the
education of our young people.
“I will always use the very
best judgement that I have,
concerning all matters in order
to keep Kermit OUT FRONT
with a first class school
system,” he concluded.
