Preservation Dallas was founded in 1972 as a nonprofit membership organization to champion initiatives to protect the history and culture of neighborhoods and historic buildings throughout Dallas, enhancing the quality of life and economic development of our great city. Work includes: brokering solutions for endangered historic properties; educating the public through tours, talks and events; documenting through surveys and research, the historic and cultural value of Dallas’ older neighborhoods; and partnering with neighborhoods as well as local and national organizations to advocate for historic preservation issues in Dallas.
