tecostal Church, conducted by
Rev. Dwayne Lee of Tahoka, will
continue through this week. On
Friday evening Kev. Lee will

panied by Miss Wundu Clement
of Clurdy, pianist.
A wedding arch, entwined with
palf leaf greenery and a trio of
white curnutions in clusters lied
with satin lihbons, adorned the
ultur of the church. E'umily pews
were murked with satin ribbons.
When Mr. Fruneia gave his
duughter in marriage, she was
wearing a full-Yngth white dul-
settu satin and metallis paisley
brocade A-line Empiie gown
fashioned by the bride's mother.
The creation featured long petal
point sieves and rounded neck-
line. The bride’* chapel train was
secured at the highrise waistline
by u satin bow and her shoulder-
length illvsion veiling was caught
to a coronet of lace and pearls.
She carried out the tradition of
“something old. new. borrowed
and blue with a sixpence in her
shoe.” Her bouquet was a cas-
cade of white carnations and
greenery, centered with blue car-
nations and blue ribbons tied with
streamers of white satin with
love knots.
Miss Kathy Francis of Deport
was her sister’s honor attendant.
Seh wore a full-length A-line
pastel blue crepe gown, accent-
ed with long chiffon sleeves fas-
tened at the wrists with wide
cuffs by tiny covered buttons.
The dress was complemented with
a short sleeveless jacket detailed
with whit elace and blue ribbon.
Her short blue veil of illusion
was held by a coronet of pastel
blue pearls and she carried a sin-
gle long-stemnied white rose, tied,
with blue ribbons.
Ii rry Gray of Bogata, was his
brother’s best man. Danny Fran-
cis of Deport, the bride’s brother.

ed guests.
The bride is a graduate of De-
port High School and i.- employ-
ed as a secretary' and lax coll e-
toi for the Deport Indep: lal.tli
School District. Her husband, a
graduate of Bogata High School,
is a senior vocational agriculture
and physical education major at
East Ttxus State University. He
■s president of the i’.ogata Rodeo
Association and is associated in
ranching with his father.
To honor the newlyweds, a re-
ception follow ed the ceremony
and was held in the reception hull
of the church. Mr. und Mrs.
Francis were hosts for the event.
Tin- registry held the bride’s
book and her bouquet, accented
with white candles in ci£*tal
holders. The table was covered
with blue taff< ta cloth and over-
laid with white luce. Mrs. De-
way nc Jenkins of Paris presided
at the bride’s book.
The refreshment table was cov-
ered with white tulle over satin
and held an arrangement of blue
and white carnations and white
tapers in twin crystal holders.
Th three-tiered colonial colon-
nade wedding cuke was adorned
with blue spun sugar roses and
satin-covered bells, topped with
three frosted lace bells, tied with
satin ribbons. It was served with
punch, nuts and minta.
Preaiding at the table were
Mrs. Jerry Gray of Bogata. Mrs.
Duane Benson of Dallas and Mrs.
Bill Bryson of Weatherford, <0k.
Miss Carol Smith, Mark and
Joey Francis, all of Deport, the
bride's cousins, distributed rice
bags.
After a short wedding trip, the
couple will reside in their mobile
home at Bogata.
For traveling Mrs. Gray wore
a white bonded knit suit with
double-breasted jacket featuring
gold buttons. Her accessories
were red. white and blue and she
wore a corsage from her bridal
bouquet.
On Friday evening. Mr. and
Mrs. Jessie Gray honored their
son, Jackie and his fiancee, Miss
Linda Francis, at a courtesy at
First Baptist Church. Deport.

and family spent Sunday and
Monday with her mother. Mrs.
Clyde Yancill of Hugo. Okla.
Mrs. Lowery called at The News
office and had The News started
to her address.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hill had

enson of El Paso, Saturday un-
til Monday and his uncle, Mr.
and Mrs. Sid Hill of Clarksville
on Monday. Cluster Hawkes of
Detroit, was a recent guest.
Bruce Whitten spent Saturday
night with his grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Whitten Jr. of
Johntown. He is in Sulphur
Springs this week visiting his
uncle, Dr. and Mrs. Claud Earl
Reynolds and family.
Mrs. Allen Watkins and dau-
ghters. accompanied by Mrs. Earl
Brooks and granddaughter, Nan-
cy Sasman of Victoria, visited
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ballou of
Chanute, Kans. They did some
sight-seeing in the Ozark Mts.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester LeMay
and family of Cincinnati, Ohio,
were visitors of Miss Edna How-
ison Tuesday inght. Mr. LeMay
is a relative of former residents.
Kirkseys and LeMays and is
working on his family genealogy.
Mr. and Mis. Jimmy Fugitt,
Janet and Rodney of Longview,
Wash., visited his uncle. Mr. and
Mrs. W. C. Jeffery. Monday. Mr.
Fugitt also visited another un-
cle, Ernest Jeffery, a patient at
Red River County Hospital.
Sgt. D. G. Horton, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Wayne Horton, who
has been on 30 day leave with
his wife and parents, after 22*2
months in Vietnam, will leave
Friday for Twenty-Nine Palm*.
Calif., for duty. Sgt. Horton has
less than two months to serve.

day to attend the funeral of his
grandmother, MrS. E. N. Fair,
which was held at the First Un-
ited Methodist Church in Heav-
ener.

of Paris, were Friday guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Albert DeBerry.
Jeff Wharton of McKinney, was
a guest Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs.
DeBerry. Mrs. DeBerry, in ill
health for some time, is unim-
proved.
Mrs. Paul Massey of Browns-
ville, spent last week with her
mother. Mrs. J. W. Smith. They
and Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Gorman
and Mrs. Lillie Mauldin went to
Texarkana one day to visit the
ladies’ brother, Mr and Mrs. Wal-
ter Vaughan.
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. King of
Husk, visited Mr. and Mrs. Britt
La.-sited, Sunday. Mrs. King and
Mrs. Lassiter were students to-
gether at Tyler Commercial Col-
lege and this was the first time
they had seen each other since
that time.
