It is hard (o say that you
play a' good game when you
were beaten by the score of
16-6 but we played one of our
belter games of the year New
Boston was the best ball team
that we have seen this year
They were very big and had
one of the quickest teams that
we have played (>ur record is
1-4 on the year and we are a
good 1-4 team We have been
disappointed with our record
but not with our effort If we
keep hustling and hitting then
we will begin to see our efforts
pay off We realized at the
first of the year we were not
going to set the woods on lire
with victories We had hoped
1 that we could play some good
football for our fans so they
could enjoy coming and
watching us play We have
achieved that goal with the
exception of the Mount
Vernon game and we really
appreciate our fans staying
behind us We had a very good
crowd at New Boston It
wasn't good in numtier hut
was the host in spirit that we
have had this year Those are
the good Ians that you enjoy
• seeing at each game Win.
lose or draw they are III)
percent liehind our Ifeliel*
Jimmy Curties had another
good night passing and our
offensive line of Mike Mi'dlin.
Keith Mankins. Kandv Car-
rol. Mike (ilosson and Cecil
Johnson deserve a lot of
credil because they kept the
defensive line off Jimmy until
he found a receiver Gary
Neill. Jerry Curties. Kenny
Stanley and la>nme Harris
made some fine catches
during the game Clyde
'Brown had a good game on
offensive replacing the in-
jured Kandy Jones who
injured his knee early in the
game Glen Fulhnght saw
limited action because of an
injury during the* Mount
Vernon game Our young
defensive played very well

against the stronger New
Boston offensive team Our
defense showed how much
pride and the never quitting
attitude they have by stopping
the powerful Lions on 3rd and
goal from the one foot line
Then on the 4th and goal from
the six inch line the defensive
team held again The score
was 26-6 at the time and if we
had wanted to quit we would
have just let them score This
is a good indication of the
pride and attitude of our
players
In the next two weeks we
play the top two pre season
picks. Quitman and Winns

New “Spun tare” Fabric
A new. nonwoven. warm
weather fabric has been Treated
through a "spun lace” process
Individual fibers are entangled
into the fabric without the use
of looms, knitting machinery "r
adhesives It's the friction be
tween the fibers that holds a
fabric together
This “spun lace” creation com-
bines features of both woven
and knit materials It doe-, not
curl and rut edges do not fray
The fabric ran be dry cleaned
or washed It dries quu kb and
has a high degree of softness
and drapahility II may be
printed or dyed
' Spun lace" can be used to
i reate beach cove nip- table
cloths, curtains. Jackets, blouses,
skirts and dresses But pattern
styles that an- loose or gathered
are best -they won't strain the
fabric
llanole it as you would lace
When making a dress or jacket
fully underline the labnc To
keep raw edges from show-tig
through, make French seams
