to close
Suddenlink will be
closing its retail store
in Mineola, effective
April 29, due to limited
customer traffic. Sud-
denlink's team of teclmi-
cians will continue using
the facility and remain in
Mineola to serve custom-
ers in the area.
Customers who need
to visit a Suddenlink
store will be able to get
the help they need at
the modern, updated
store in Tyler located at
4949 S. Broadway. The
equipment drop box at
the Mineola office will
remain in place for local
customers' convenience.
The company will also
continue to offer help
and services online at
their website sudden-
link.com. Customers
also can schedule a visit
by one of their techni-
cians by calling them
toll-free at 888-822-5151.

Mineola hosts Wood County Junior Livestock Show
Dozens of Wood County FFA and
4-H Members entered the Wood Coun-
ty Junior Livestock Show Saturday at
Lester Cole Arena in hopes of selling
their projects for top dollar.
Of those entered, several local stu-
dents earned Grand Champion, Re-
serve Champion or placed in their re-
spective project category for a grand
total of $177,425 in funds raised by the
auction.
Mineola FFA Member Ricardo Mar-
tinez won Grand Champion and his
steer was auctioned off for $5,000 and
bought by the buyers group of City
National Bank, Potts Feed, Big Country
Farm Center, Legacy Ag Credit, Long-
horn Ford-Lone Star Dodge, Wood
County Farm Bureau and Quitman
Family Care Center.
Also earning Grand Champion was
Alba-Golden FFA Member Blake Reyn-
olds with his goat. His project sold for
$3,250 to the buyers group of City Na-
tional Bank, Potts Feed, Big Country
Farm Center, Legacy Ag Credit, Long-
horn Ford-Lone Star Dodge and Wood
County Farm Bureau.
Alba-Golden FFA Member Grace
Ann Mullins earned Grand Champion
honors with her broiler which sold for
$1,500 which was bought by the group
of City National Bank, Potts Feed, Big
Country Farm Center, Legacy Ag Cred-
it, Longhorn Ford-Lone Star Dodge
and Wood County Farm Bureau.
A-G FFA Member Ann Marie Pen-
dergrass won Reserve Champion in
Broilers - which was purchased for
$750 by the buyers group of City Na-
tional Bank, Potts Feed, Big country
Farm Center, Legacy Ag Credit, Long-
horn Ford-Lone Star Dodge and Wood
County Farm Bureau.
Also earning Reserve Champion was
A-G FFA Member Carter Lennon with
his wood burning stove which was
purchased by Lennon Construction for
$1,300.
Other Mineola FFA members, their
place, categories, buyers and sale price
included Christian Martinez, fourth
place, steer, Nelda Shipp, $2,700; Ra-
chel Martinez, sixth place, commer-
cial heifer, Mineola Community Bank,
$2,700; Brianna Holt, sixth place, di-
ary heifer, Rozell Ag Sprayers, $1,500
and Riley Donohoe, sixth place, rabbit,
Mineola Community Bank-Pete and
Aaron Donohoe, $1,500.
Additional Alba-Golden FFA mem-
bers, their place, categories, buyers
and sale price were Rachel Hays, third
place, goat, Lake Country Animal Clin-
ic, $1,050; Abby Mitchell, third place,
rabbit, Quitman Dairy Queen, $400;
Josh Hass, fifth place, goat, Dee's Paint
and Body, $1,150; Avry Wood, sixth
place, steer, Big Country Farm Cen-
ter, $2,400; Stormy Troyer, sixth place,
goat, Mineola Community Bank, $750
and Bailee Bishop, seventh place, hog,
Randy and Ann Wright, $850.

bers participated in the auction. Their
