able. Sixteen members answered
the roll call. New members were

WORLD WAR VET DIES
Connie Watts, World War Vet-
eran, who formerly lived at De-
troit, died at the U. S. Veterans’
Hospital at Legion, Texas, Friday
last at 12:15 p.m. He had been
sick more than a year and was
transferred from Muskogee, Ok,T
to Legion a month ago.
The body was brought to
Clarksville Sunday and after the
funeral services at the Baptist
church, a military burial
conducted by the American Leg-
ion at Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Watts is survived by his
widow, a daughter of J.H.Canter,
and a seven-year-old son.
