The first real terracing school in Denton county was
held in the county court house on the eighth and ninth
of July, 192q. Other small terracing schools had been
conducted previously and several Denton county farm-
ers had received certificates in terracing, but this was
the first large terracing school for the entire county.
About 26 farmers from all parts of the county were
present to receive instructions. The schools had in at-
tendance seven .men from Denton, four from Pilot
Point, three from Lewisville, two from Ponder, two
from Sanger, one from Frisco, and one from Justin.
The county agent invited a specialist, Mr. M. R. Bent-
