This family are all good citizens of Hopkins County.
The boys are highly esteemed, are honest, just, debt-
paying men, and have the full confidence of all
with whom they deal. The girls all married good
men, and are in happy conditions. They are all
taxpayers in the county; are church members;
liberal, enterprising, useful and industrious men.
They are good to the poor and needy---never re-
fusing the deserving of their assistance. They all
occupy a leading place in society, and are very
highly respected by everybody-a quiet, good,
moral set of men, that Hopkins County should
be proud to acknowledge as citizens.
BIOGRAPHY OF R. R. WILLIAMS.
R. R. Williams emigrated from the state of
Arkansas in the year i866 and located in Black
Jack Grove, where he has since lived. He mar-
ried Miss Susan Ward at the age of twenty-two
years, in Arkansas. Nine children were the result of
this union, six of whom are living. They are all
citizens of the county, live near their parents and are
doing well. Mr. Williams descended from a long
line of ancestors. He can trace his family name
back to Roger Williams, he has taken an active
part in the politics of his county, espousing the
cause of Democracy, and has ever been steadfast
in the faith. He has served his country as a soldier,
and was faithful in the discharge of his duty.
