DEATHS.
Bee Wright (col )
H. Muenzenberger, who is not
a German. bv fbe way, is a travel
ing ipac who does quite a lot ct
territory in Mexico, yesterday
showed the Record man some
original pbttographs he had se-i
cured at Querataro of occurrences
of more than forty years ago. The
first was a picture of the unfortu-
nate Austrian Prince Maxamilian.
Tjje second was a scene in the old
Iturbide church, when the death
warrant was being read to Maxa-
milian. and the third was the
scene of the txecution, with Mari-
moD, Mejia' and Maxamilian
standing some ten feet apart, in
front of the file of soldiers, who with
leveled guns await the order to fire.
Maxamailian is ou the right,
standing with his breast exposed
to the aim of the soldiers. .The
photos are small but quite distinct
and are unquestionably authentic,
not copies. Mr. Mueozenberger
says be saw oqe of the old firing
squad, but missed a chance to talk
to him, much to bis regret.- It was
told him that this man, who was a
common peon; remembered every-
thing peitaining to the execution
completely and he said it was the
sorrow of his life, that be ever took
part in it. Whenever he speaks
of it, it is said, he sheds tears.
Whoever the photographer was
who took these pictures, he was
doing good work and the photos
show that be understood his busi-
ness. Every feature is distinct
and well brought out.
The present owner says he would
not part with them for any consid-
eration th%t could be offered. Mr.
Muenzenberger is s man of fine
education, an excellent linguist

“Ever try Prickly Ash Bitters?”
“No; I’ve heard a good deal about it,
but never tried it.”
“Well, you’ll be pleased with the re-
sults.”
The purgative action of Prickly Ash
Bitters not only removes hard impac-
tions, gas and impurities, but it strength-
ens the muscular action of the bowels
which causes them to move regularly.
Prickly Ash Bitters is a bowel tonic
and regulator in the truest sense. * It
promotes daily evacuations, establishes
healthy movements and is the best
known remedy for disordered digestion,
flatulence and a,constipated habit.
D. M. Blackweljcr, of Litchfield, 111., says in
the Litchfield Kewsk “I am perfectly willing, in
fact glad to testify to the value of Prickly Ash
Bitters as a medicine for the kidneys, stomach
and bowels. I have used it whenever I needed
anything of the kind for the last fifteen years
and it has always given satisfaction.”
