Cor, 9:7 and 2 Sam. 24:24! He j
dealt with the daty of giving, as i
defined by the Scriptures and as
taught all through the Bible from
Genesis to Revelation. He said
that a,s God did not release the
children of Israel from the obliga-
tion to give while they wereln
bondage, so be had never released
any man from the obligation in any
age of the world. He*said tfiat all
should give a tenth at.the least,
and more as a gift. . Man owes the
tenth and should pay that as a debt
to God, then give. By this method
must the work o: the church be
carried on. ' He also dealt with the
spirit ol giving, saying that a
grudging gift die the giver no good

That £ood old standby, Richard

since that time and trumpeted
loudly for recognition, but dropped
out of existence as suddenly as
they came, but “The Georgias,’* as(
Richard & Pringle’s is commonly
called, have pursued the even tenor

they promised and always sure of
a packed house. This time they

Not Many Excursionists.
There were only about forty ex-*
corsionists from here to Port Lava-
ca Sunday. This was probably
due to tbe tact that the; excursion
was not advertised in the local
papers and few knew there was one
to go. There were eight coaches
and they ah seemed to be pretty
well filled.
