Supt. I. W. Evans, of the Bon-
ham Public Schools, has been sc
lected aud appointed as conductor
of the coming summer normal to
be held at Commerce.
Mr. Evans is now considered one
of the most prominent educational
instr uctors in the State, and the
Commerce Normal is to be congra-
tulated upon securing Iris services
for their summer school.
The Commerce Normal has ac-
quired a State wide reputation for
its ollicient work. Although
all of the strong colleges
and universities held normals in
1110H and in places many
counties united for the purpose of
making larger and better normals,
to Commerce came more than one-
eighth of all the summer normal
certificates issued. Commerce ap-
plicants secured one fourth of all
permanent certificates in the State.
Commerce applicants received more
summer normal certificates than
all the applicants of our most ex
cellent State 1101 mals and our great
university besides. And the certi
ficate feature is not the only good
done at Commerce. At no place
in the State were there more use-
ful things arranged for the teach-
ore or more money spent for their
good in miscellaneous lines of
school work.
The attendance last year num-
bered 1050 pupils and is a record
that the faculty should feel very
proud of indeed.

A prize list of the coining Koit
Worth Horse Show, to 1r* held
March 14-10, has been received by
L. C. Wilson, Jr., of this city and
Sherman. Mr. Wilson’s show teams
made a nice record last year in the
horse show and he expects to do
even better this year. He stated
in an interview with a Favorite
reporter today that he hail several
horses and rigs in his Sherman
stables that he also expected to
enter.
The Fort Worth Stock and Horse
Show is now considered one of the
most important events in the
Southwest and has attracted atten-
tion from almost every State in the
Union. It is worth a great deal
not only to Fort Worth, but tin-
entire State of Texas.

Deafness (unnot be Cured
by local applications, as they can-
not reach the diseased portion of
the ear. There is only one way to
cure deafness, and thut is by con-
stitutional remedies. Deafness is
caused by an inflamed condition of
the mucous lining of the Eustach
iatt Tube. When this tube is in-
flamed and you have a rumbling
sound or imperfect hearing, and
when it is entirely closed, deafness
is the result, and unless the inflam-
mation can be taken out and this
tills' restored to its normal condi-
tion, hearing will be destroyed for-
ever. Nine eases out of ten are
caused by ,<'atnrrh, which is noth-

the mucous surfaces.
