Elections Today
Nominations for cheer leaders
and for publication board mem-
bers for the year 1952-'53 were
held in chapel last Friday. Five
cheerleaders are to be elected:
two girls and three boys. Try-outs
are to be held today. (Tuesday).
Nominations made for publica-
tion board members were to fill
vacancies of representatives in
the freshman and junior classes
and of the student at large.
Girls nominated for cheerlead-
ers were Gerry Groth Ellen East-
ham Bobbie Richardson and Lu-
cile Schrum Edythe Frost Juan-
elle Greenfield Jean Clark and
Eva Nell Turner were also nomi-
nated. Glen Parsons Herbert Lewis
Glen Biggs and A. J. Quinn were
among the boys nominated. Ken-
neth Shaw Carol Wayne Shaw
Glen Collier Carol Talley and
Ronnie Cox along with Moe
Smith Bobbie Stokes Charles

All School Retreat
At First Church
The all-school retreat sponsor-
ed by Life Service Band Minis-
terial Council and Mission Band
in cooperation with the B. S. U.
was held April 22 in the First
Baptist Church auditorium in-
stead of the Baptist Encampment
