Construction planned
ACU for at least the next 50 years.
"Some campaigns for major campus
construction will be announced within
the year" Teague said.
"The board needs to have a plan so
we can tell donors where the building
they are paying for is going to be."
Among the immediately feasible
projects the university is scheduled to
undertake is the construction of a
building for the College of Business
Administration an Abilene Christian
High School building so that the old one
may be adapted to better fit into the
present campus planning effort and a
missions building with a possibility
that it will also house the Bible
department Gray said.
"These three buildings are on the
planning docket because money has
been committed for them specifically"
Gray said
A hew women's dormitory will
probably be added to that docket soon
since the renovation of McKlnzie Hall
would require nearly the cost of a new
facility Gray said. Money has been
donated specifically toward that
construction also..
"This all comes down to dollar
decisions" Gray said. "We have to
think about the money we are going to
need to complete the project not just
start it."
"It's kind of like going on a long
motor trip; you are probably going to
need more money than you are taking"
Teague said.
