With the recent addition of 20 new riding
horses at the EPAAF stables, bringing the
total to 28, this field now boasts the
most complete riding facilities of any
military installation in this Command,
if not in the entire country.
The horses newly purchased range from
one-half to seven-eights thoroughbreds,
according to Major L.So Muckey, Special
Service Officer, and will be welcomed by
the ever-increasing numbers of riding en-
thusiasts among our personnel.
Horses are available for riding by en-
listed men, Wacs, officers and civilian
personnel, at the low rate of 25^ per
hour. Hours are from 8:30 A.M. to sun-
down, seven days a week. Equestrians
may ride in any of the unoccupied areas
of the post.
The riding stables are an activity of the
Special Service Department, and are under
the supervision of Lt. Clifton 0. Over-
cash.
