Faculty Staff and Students of
During the last two weeks of
February another miraculous
effort of theatrical blood sweat
and tears took place in the Van
Ellis Theatre. The School of
Music and the Department of
Theatre teamed up once again to
create a music revue called RED
PEPPERS PLUS by Noel Cow-
ard. This evening of entertain-
ment was chosen last August
largely by the urging of yours
truly. There were many who
doubted if it would be any good
if they wanted to do it all and
some who decided did not see it.
The wit and wisdom of Sir
Noel Coward has always been
close to my heart. The chance to
perform this piece was humbling
to all involved. This is tough
stuff much more challenging on
a stylistic level than on thesimple
mindedness of LI'L ABNER

Yes this day and all in it is a
gift but so is the education that
many seem to take for granted.
The gift of education is not one
that is given lightly for we all
must live up to the expectations
that accompany it.
To make our education
fullfilling we all must become
an active participant. We must
not wait for the information to
be poured into our brains that is
not the way it works!
To make the most of the gift
of education every student must
take on the ideas and the infor-
mation that each professor la-
bors to deliver to us and apply it
to our lives. We must continue to
earn the honor of being called a
college student. There is not a
free ride to graduation and our
whole life depends and is repre-
sented by the way we act and
