Alternate Spring Break ideas By Brad Bagby Managing Editor Spring Break is the time of year when we can take a week off from homework waking up early studying and so on. Next week we will have time for some much deserved rest and relaxation. Usually students either hit the beach or hit the slopes. Skiing is perhaps the most fun leisure activity ever and the beach is very relaxing but not everyone can enjoy these activities. So what can they do? Here are some ideas that may turn a boring Spring Break into a thrilling adventure. f Wl J taH3T3T3C1lBBBHaiMMMWMBaB'MB torn uin JJSiinP a1fll1 1 "Lu'iAt-M WifillHinil internet Bring the fun to you!- With some awesome cheap carpentry skills and duct tape you can bring the beach or slopes to you! No skis? A pair of 2X4s and duct tape will fix that. You can use your fancy skis by going down the side of an overpass. Add a ramp for more thrills. What about the beach? Nothing a lawn chair shades lemonade playground sand and a kiddie pool can't handle. What? You didn't like those ideas? Well here are some more realistic ideas. Pick up a hobby- A week is a long time when you have nothing to do. That is where hobby stores come in handy. You can also build up spiritually by working on your min- istry skills with your townsfolk. Who knows? You may create some pretty cool friendships and acquaintances. Reading- Ironically being a writer I don't read much. However books are very interesting. Not a reader? Pick your favorite movie and then find the novel it was based on. Believe it or not most of the time it is a different story. Self Discovery- You can seri- ously find out interesting things about yourself by doing something that you have tried before.
