H E reception given to the October number of THE COLLEGIAN-
the first issue of the session-was most favorable. We rec-
ognize in the kind words of approbation an effort to encourage us
in our attempt to make our magazine a success; and it will be our
constant endeavor to merit the approval and patronage of our
friends.
Expressions of commendation have reached us in various ways.
Not the least appreciated was the following original coinmunica-
tion from Blinn College, Brenham:
DEAR COLLEGIAN:-
The fame of your beauty and brightness has gone
abroad unto the uttermost parts of the earth, even to Brellham,
Now, aren't you going to put us on your "calling list?" We'll be
"awfully" angry with you, if you don't. Please do.
Yours,
THE BLINN COLLEGE ONTHLY.
Our reply ran thus:
To THE l3LINN COLLEGE MONTHLY:-
THE COLLEGIAN is charmed to place you on her cal-
ling list. Shlewould hesitate long before cutting the acquaintance
of so complimentary a friend as the Monthly. It is her ambition
to let her light so shine that its rays may brighten the most re-
rhote places-even to Brenham. That she has thus far realized
her ambition is a source of gratification.
Many thanks for your kind words of praise
Yours,
THE COLLEGIAN,
