Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library

In 1954, Rockdale's first library opened as a joint effort of its citizens and the Texas State Library. In 1961, Dr. George Hill Patterson made a donation in honor of his mother, Rockdale native Lucy. The Library works closely with the Milam County Genealogical Society and received a Tocker Foundation grant.

The Rockdale Reporter

Founded in 1873, Rockdale, Milam County developed with the advent of the International-Great Northern Railroad. The paper served the county from 1899 to the mid-1900s. Funded by a Tocker Foundation grant.
