In Fayette Oct. 18
The 1954 Census of Agricul-
ture this fall is ejecting infor-
mation about the more than 5
million American farms upon
which a population of 163 mil-
lion Americans depend for food
aild materials used in manu-
facture of clothing and other
items.
Each farmer will be visited
by an enumerator of the Bu-
reau of the Census. Farmers
will r eeive a questionnaire in
the mail with a request from
the director of the census that
they get their answers filled
in before he enumerator comes.
Questionnaires will be mail-
ed to farmers in Texas during
the 3rd week in September. Be-
ginning on October 18. census
enumerators will begin calling
on farmers in this area for their
reports.
