[Letter from T. N. Carswell to R. E. Milam, Creath-Brazos Baptist Association - October 12, 1942

Description: A letter written to Rev. R. E. Milam, Moderator, Creath-Brazos Baptist Association, Navasota, Texas, from T. N. Carswell, Chairman United Texas Drys, dated October 12, 1942. Carswell expresses his amazement at the lack of interest of many Christians and the opposition of some non-Christians in the liquor traffic. He advises of having written 26 church schools in Texas requesting information regarding the curriculum each school offers on the effects of beverage alcohol. He suggests that Baptist schools should include a required course of study on the effects of beverage alcohol. Second page of letter includes a handwritten reply from R. E. Milam, Mod. dated October 23, 1942 advising Carswell of their association having passed the resolution as written.
