Description: Journal clipping discussing cause no. 3974, Gulf Pipe Line Company vs. John Bailey, in the Court of Civil Appeals of Texas, Texarkana, heard June 18, 1931 and denied a rehearing on July 4, 1931. The cause was brought by John Bailey to recover damages for the loss of a herd of cattle due to a levee break at the point where the Gulf Pipe Line Company's line crossed underneath the levee.

Description: Journal clipping discussing cause no. 3972, Lone Star Gas Company vs. J. R. Hutton and Clara Hutton, in the Court of Civil Appeals of Texas, Texarkana, heard March 25, 1931 and denied rehearing April 2, 1931. The original suit was brought by J. R. and Clara Hutton for damage to their land allegedly caused by the gas company diverting natural water ways, and the district court's judgement for the Huttons was appealed by the gas company.
