Description: Copy of transcript for a bond for a piece of land originally sold to Peter M. Hughes by John Austin on behalf of Stephen F. Austin on March 17, 1833. The bond was then transferred from Hughes to J. Vaughan on December 20, 1833. Ownership of the bond was eventually transferred to Josiah T. Harrell and Leman Kelay who cancelled the bond and obtained a deed for the land on November 2, 1836.

Over the course of the correspondence, the commissioners agree on the total amount and terms of the loan that will pay for the vessel.

Williamson, clerk of Brazoria County in 1842, confirms that this contract was indeed signed by Austin and Bee.
