Description: Copy of transcript for a notarized bill of exchange from Moses Austin to Bellows and Cochran, in which Austin pays Hart, Barton and Hart five hundred dollars. Boston notary, William Stevenson, claims that Bellows and Cochran were unable to pay the bill of exchange he delivered to them, and as a result, protests against any consequences that others might suffer because of Bellows and Cochran's failure to pay.
